The Band Toto
Toto is an American rock band formed in 1977. The members are Steve Lukather, David Paich, Joseph Williams, and John Pierce. The band’s other members are Robert “Sput” Searight and Dominique “Xavier” Taplin. The band’s name means “the Gods of Sound”. Toto has released more than twenty albums and is one of the most popular rock groups in the world. Their music has been interpreted in many languages, including Spanish, French, and Chinese.
Although Toto is a minor character in Gregory Maguire’s Wicked novel, she is not portrayed as particularly vile or annoying. She is not even mentioned in the Broadway musical version of the book. In the year 2020, Toto was immortalized by Michael Morpurgo, who published an autobiography of the famous dog. In 1978, a dark gray Schnauzer named Terry was cast as Toto.
